Tomorrow is Christmas

We began our morning by marking our calendar as my children rejoice for the day they are all been waiting for, Christmas. My husband had to go to the mall to get that one last gift we forgot to get. I am glad that this Christmas time, we did not spend a lot. We used to spend a fortune for gifts. I am glad we are not this year. I constantly remind my kids that Christmas is not all about the wishes and gifts we want but it is a reminder for all of us, a Sacred gift that God has given us. I know that they won't understand it yet but a reminder for them of why we celebrate Christmas is never too early to start.
Today we still have things to do. Bake and decorate some cookies. Bake our Christmas ham and prepare the things that go with our Christmas meal. I am so thankful that Christmas is here! God bless to all and a very Merry Christmas.

Christmas Time

Five more days before Christmas. Everyone is excited. I myself has a lot in mind. I want this Christmas to be different. I want to spend more time doing something with the kids. I know as a child, I did a lot of baking and cooking with my mom. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen with her during holiday season. Maybe that is the same reason I want to pass some of my childhood memories with my kids. You only get to be a child one time and if I don't start building memories with my kids. They will grow up and think of Christmas as just one of 365 days. Nothing significant...nothing to look forward to. So this year, I promise myself to do something that my kids will enjoy and be excited about. I want them to remember that Christmas is not all about the gifts under the tree but it is the time you spend with your family, doing things together and savoring all the wonderful moments to take.
