Happy Thanksgiving!

I woke up around 6am this morning and started the prep for our Thanksgiving dinner. We usually eat around 2pm and I like to finish everything by 1pm so I could still have time to clean up around the house before everyone starts to arrive. I am happy the way everything turn out. My turkey looks great and all my side dishes came out perfect. Though I almost forgot to do the cranberry sauce. I'm glad hubby mentioned it to me. I bought 2 pies this year, pecan and pumpkin pie. Everyone loves the food and I am so happy that I get to cook again for my family and friends this year for Thanksgiving. Eventhough, my mother-in-law decided to go home early and not stay for Thanksgiving, everything went perfectly well. I just hope she had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Well tomorrow we can put our Christmas tree and start decorating the house. This is something my kids look forward doing each year and I can't wait to do it too.

Christmas lights!

This morning I was so happy because finally our garage door is fixed. We were able to have somebody come over to install a new garage opener for us.Happy mommy. After finishing folding clothes and putting them away, I made lunch for my kids and ate Beef Ramen with eggs with them plus chicken nuggets. I thought, "well, I have nothing to do now, so I can actually just relax or maybe read." Then my mother-in-law, who is staying with us for Thanksgiving decided she wanted to help me put the Christmas lights outside. I kept giving her the hint that her son is supposed to put them but hey, she wants me to put them ...I guess. So I said yes. So instead of laying down and reading a good book, I spent this afternoon putting the Christmas lights. I really didn't want to do them but hey, I am not about to say no to her. The Christmas lights turn out pretty. I guess I should be thankful. At least that chore is done. Happy mommy again!

First Post

This blog was made for me. My other blog talks about my journey of homeschooling and my kids. And it didn't give me a lot of space to talk about other things. I want my own blog, talking about myself and what I do and love to do. I guess I am being selfish. I want to talk about me more than my 3 kids. I want to talk about books I read and recipes I love. I want to share things I experience as a wife and not just talk about school all the time. That is why I created this blog. For myself. Now I don't have to think if what I will share will go with the concept of the blog. I am now able to just share anything I feel worth sharing not necessarily about homeschooling. I am a happy camper. So ...Welcome.
